Como Ball Travel Baseball gives players ages 9–15 an opportunity to play at a more competitive level while staying part of the Como Ball community.
Travel is designed for players who are ready for additional practices, games and tournament play. Teams are formed through tryouts and will be offered based on player interest, skill level, available coaches and roster size.

Travel vs. In-House Baseball
Both programs focus on player development, teamwork and creating a positive baseball experience. The biggest differences are the level of competition, time commitment, schedule and how teams are formed.

Which program is right for my player?
In-House Baseball is a great fit for players who want to develop their skills, compete with balanced teams and enjoy a more predictable schedule. Families can generally expect baseball on the same days and at the same times each week, making it easier to plan around other activities.
Travel Baseball is designed for players looking for a more competitive baseball experience and who are ready for a greater time commitment. Teams will typically practice twice and play twice each week, but days, times and locations will vary throughout the season. Travel players should be prepared to make baseball a higher priority during the season.
There isn't a “better” option—just two different ways to play. Both programs are focused on helping Como Ball players develop their skills, compete, have fun and grow their love of the game.
How Travel Registration Works
Interested in Travel Baseball? Start by registering for Como Ball as you normally would.
1. Register for In-House Baseball
Complete registration for your player's appropriate age division. Your In-House registration serves as your
commitment to play with Como Ball, whether your player ultimately plays In-House or Travel.
2. Select Travel Tryout
Players ages 9–15 can select the Travel Tryout option during registration. A
$25 tryout fee will be added.
3. Attend Travel Tryouts
Players will be evaluated and teams formed based on skill level, roster availability and overall interest. A tryout does not guarantee placement on a Travel team.
4. Accept Your Travel Roster Spot
If your player is selected and chooses to play Travel, the In-House registration fee you've already paid will be
credited toward your Travel fee. You'll simply pay the remaining balance.
If your player is not selected for Travel, they're already registered for In-House Baseball and will be placed on an In-House team.

Your In-House registration payment is credited toward your Travel fee. The $25 tryout fee is separate and is not applied toward your Travel balance.
Example: A 12U player registering early pays $150 for In-House registration plus the $25 Travel tryout fee. If selected for Travel, the $150 registration payment is credited toward the $500 Travel fee, leaving a $350 Travel balance.
Travel fees include participation in both Como Ball Winter Training Sessions, giving teams an opportunity to begin practicing and preparing together before the spring season.
Coaches & Team Management
Travel teams are led by dedicated Como Ball coaches who serve as team managers and handle practices, games, team communication and scheduling. Coaches will also participate in selecting tournaments for their teams.
Como Ball's Travel Coordinator/Commissioner will support teams with league administration, fields, permits, umpires and other program logistics.
We currently have coaches identified for prospective 10U and 12U teams, with additional teams dependent on registration, player evaluations and coaching availability.
Interested in Travel Baseball?
Register for your player's Como Ball age division and select Travel Tryout during registration.
Your player will still have a place in our In-House program if they aren't selected for a Travel team, so there's no downside to giving it a shot.
